Deerfield G/JV tennis won 6-1 at home vs Cushing today with a solid victory by Summer Zhou and Sophia Hamlen at exhibition doubles. It was a beautiful day on campus, ideal for tennis, and the team was in great spirits as week 7 of this spring term came to a close. We hosted Cushing who brought fewer players and, hence, had to play some players twice. We decided that 8 game pro sets would help us manage the time better. With lots of strong wins up and down the lineup, this was a complete team effort. I was particularly proud of Katherine Pajak’s hard fought victory at #2 singles, which took tremendous focus and toughness to overcome a tight start. Overall, I remain very proud of this team’s fair play and positive attitudes.
