Friday’s away match at Williston marked the first competition since 2019, and the boys game out swinging, sweeping the Wildcats 7-0 without dropping a set.
Blustery winds and first match nerves were no match for the doubles teams, with both #1 Achille Sarachek/Jimmy Ueland and #3 Oscar Depp/Yongjin Park blanking their opponents 8-0. At #2, Noah Depp and Max Peh pulled through to win their match 8-6.
Singles proved to be just as dominant as doubles, with the Wildcats unable to win more than 3 games in any of their sets against DA players.
More important than getting the first win of the season however is the gratefulness we all felt finally being able to compete.
