Deerfield dropped the second game of the double header against Andover by a score of 2-1. This was not an explosive game at the plate as both teams combined for only 5 hits. SP Tyler Mudd carried over his good pitching from the first game and threw the first two innings of the 2nd game. RP Ryan McHugh finished up, going 5 innings and gave up only 3 hits and 2 ER but walked 6 batters. It was Ryan’s first high school start of his career. The only 2 hits in the game came from 2B Kevin Griffin and C Trey Borque who also had Deerfield’s only RBI. Trey was the only batter to hit safely in all 3 of Deerfield’s game this weekend.
