In front of a raucous home crowd, Deerfield built a 14-point halftime lead against the Westminster School on the sharpshooting of Evan Boccia and the inside play of Alex Haight. The second half went back and forth with Westy cutting the lead to four points at the seven minute mark. Anchored by the steady floor management of captain Davis Mead, and the gutty performance of captain Max Kainamura, who played on the heels of a serious bout of the flu, the Deerfield squad steadily rebuilt its lead, finishing the game with a comfortable 13-point margin.
