After a few days of good, hard practices, Deerfield traveled to Williston for a Wednesday match, earning a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats.

Playing in front of a loud crowd at Williston, Deerfield responded well to the noise and after some initial hiccups, got its passing going to allow our setters to be able to distribute the ball to our hitters. All players saw court time throughout the match, with particular congratulations to Caroline Weller ‘23 for her strong serving, Cate Shanahan ‘23 for her effective hits, Meghan Holland ‘23 for her setting during sets 2 and 3, Zoe Gavros ‘23 and Elle Stearns ‘23 for their passing throughout the match, and Aoife Bruce ‘22 for her good middle attacks.

We next travel to Concord, NH for a Saturday match against an always-strong St. Paul’s squad. First serve is at 2:30 pm.
