Deerfield’s center back, Avery Izzo, ’24, confidently played a free kick in the first 2 minutes of play against the Hoggers. Elsa Schuberth, ’22, controlled the high ball and quickly laid off to Kaelin Creagh, ’23, who is no stranger to driving to the net. The perfectly executed finish would keep the Big Green on top while their solid defensive effort secured the shutout.
