We beat Westminster 3-0 on good possession and pressure from the start. Goalie Tom Spater and the backline, anchored mainly by co-captain Jamie Weymouth, Eddie Rena, Henry Griffin, and Ocean Feng, produced a solid clean sheet today. Tommy Augustine opened the scoring in the first half when he ran onto a lovely ball from co-captain Songa Rwamucyo, took it to the left side of the box, and finished with a strong left foot. Not long after, Tommy struck again after a turnover, slicing through the defense and muscling a near post finish. Late in the game, freshman Zach Li drove a right-footed screamer from the top of the box after some loose touches by several players. Westminster had some chances off our turnovers, hitting the crossbar once, but overall we controlled this one. Both teams played a spirited and competitive match.
