The Deerfield varsity field hockey team traveled to NMH on Wednesday. NMH got on the board early but Deerfield regrouped and responded with their own tally before the half. NMH eventually went up 3-1 by the third quarter but Deerfield kept working and found the back of the net with ten minutes left in the fourth quarter. Deerfield goals were scored by Lexi Watson ’24 and Bailey Miller ’24. Ainsley Hubbard ‘22 did a great job controlling the midfield and Sage Piekarski ‘23 worked hard to generate offense. It was an intense back and forth game, and although we were disappointed with the 2-3 loss, we look forward to working hard as a team in the coming days. Go Big Green!
