Deerfield faced NMH for the third time as well as the young Bement team.  Despite once again racing against far larger teams, Deerfield strove to put together their best performances.  Declan Cullinane returned the pool after a long hiatus and swept the 50 and 100 freestyle events in fine fashion.  He also led off the 200 Medley Relay and anchored the 2nd place 200 Free Relay which also featured teammates Janie Doyle, Grace Mazur, and Natalie Zneimer.  Natalie dropped 8 seconds to take second in the 500 Freestyle.  Divers Harry Niles and Anastasia Arefyeva took second and third in that competition, Anastasia hitting the boards for the very first time.  Harry followed his second place in diving with a win in the 50 Breaststroke.  Maddalena Honoblue took silver in the 50 backstroke and Julia Hioe dropped an astonishing 10 seconds in the 100 backstroke to take 3rd.  This weekend the team joins in the fun of the Nick White Sprint Invitational at Eaglebrook.
