On Saturday, February 1st, the girls’ varsity squash crew welcomed St. Paul’s to the Dewey Squash Center. The girls remained focused and composed and executed their game plans well. Sarah Stonestreet ’21 exhibited consistent execution in her lob game, focusing her attention on keeping her opponent behind her; Isabella Rolfe ’20 dialed in on her attacking game, earning several points off of nicks and front-court winners; Talbot von Stade, perhaps in her most epic match of the year, came back from 5-10 in game 1 to win 12-10 and to go on and win the match, 3-0. Daly Baker ’22 and Alex Kelsey ’23 had equally strong performances, focusing on their front court attacking to keep their opponents under constant pressure. Also great to see Willow Woodward ’22 back at 100%, working through her opponent with disciplined length and a technically sound short game.
