Deerfield bounced back from an L against Andover to smoke Loomis in another 7-0 sweep on Wednesday afternoon. Even missing a few of its top 7, Deerfield had no problem dominating the matches, as everyone stepped up accordingly and brought their A-game to the “Island of the Pelicans.” Counting exhibition matches as well, Deerfield notched a commanding total of 13 victories and just 1 loss. Stars for the day were sophomore exhibition players Hunter Pulliam and Zeyna Ilahi, who have played more than their fair share of repeat matches throughout the season and always bring their best competitive fire to their contests. The team eagerly anticipates its final match of the season against historic rival Choate, at home on Wednesday, and will be sad to bid goodbye to its four seniors but happy to conclude with a hopefully victorious result for the season and an impressive record overall.
