The team rebounded with a strong result against Eagle this week. Nearly every match was competitive with four of the seven going needing all five games to settle the matter. Will Newton played and extremely tough match against a really tough competitor, though he fell down early he rallied back and fought hard. Though the result was ultimately a loss, the resolve and grit were emblematic of the very best qualities of a Deerfield student.
