Deerfield Girls Hockey made the trek to Berkshire on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 1-0 win. Deerfield out-shot the home team 28-16 on the afternoon, and aside from a few early cross bars, never really let Berkshire gain offensive momentum. Sydney Cresta ‘20 scored the lone goal of the game off of assists from Ellia Chiang ‘21 and Christina Halloran ‘20, and Brianna Felice ‘22 earned the hard hat for strong play in all three zones. Our penalty killers (Chiang, Halloran, Jackson Kinsler ‘22, Lisa Ito-Bagshaw ‘21, Aurora Devereaux ‘20, CC Deslauriers ‘23, Sara Ito-Bagshaw ‘22, and Keri Clougherty ‘21) were outstanding all game, and Liv Mikesell ‘20 earned the shut out in goal. Many thanks to the Visnapuu family for the pizza, salad, drinks and desserts after the game.
