The boys JV hockey team traveled to Williston looking to extend their winning streak. Earlier in the month of January these two teams faced off at Deerfield and we came away with an 8-5 win, but Williston made it close going down to the wire in that game. Today the team won 4-1 and it was the play of our “Green Line” that was the difference today. The line of Ben King, Ryan Welch and Michael Scharfenberger combined for three goals today by way of their hard work down low in the offensive zone and out working their opponent today. Lawrence von Steuben got the start in net and he played very well keeping Williston off the scoreboard for much of the game. Recently, the team has played good, disciplined hockey staying out of the penalty box and staying focused on putting team first. It makes a big difference!
Great work team. Next Wednesday we travel to NMH to try and avenge an earlier season loss to our rival Hoggers!
