Deerfield’s JV swim team took on the newly formed Stoneleigh Burnam squad, their young team only in their second year of existence. The Deerfield team swam well with Captain Grace Mazur leading off the individual events with a win in the 200 Freestyle and then following up later with a strong performance in the 50 butterfly. Newcomer Natalie Zneimer swam a best time and won the 50 freestyle. Emily Feng didn’t need goggles to capture a first in the 100 freestyle, and she followed this event with a win in the 100 backstroke, goggles intact. Captain Janie Doyle swam a stellar 50 backstroke, Ismay Anderson captured the 50 breaststroke, and rookie Tony He continued his winning ways, taking the 100 breaststroke. It was a fun outing for the JV team. They are on the road next week against Eaglebrook and Northfield Mount Herman.
