On Wednesday, Deerfield took the bus down I-91 to face Loomis, the defending Class A New England champions. While the top-line score was a loss, 0-3, the individual set scores show a very competitive match: 18-25, 23-25, 21-25. Loomis played well and deserved the win today, but Deerfield showed moments of very strong play; we need to work on our consistency in pressure situations, but there is a strong foundation on which to improve as we head into our next matches.

Deerfield next has a rare Friday night match against Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield; game time is 5:15pm.
