The boys’ varsity soccer team played Salisbury on Saturday afternoon and came out with a 4-2 victory. Deerfield came out firing as Zach Davis ’20 scored a breakaway sent over the top by Skye Bacon ’20. Salisbury was quick to strike back scoring in the 5th minute of play and later in the 24th. In the 36th minute of play Skye Bacon ’20 tied the game as a ball was crossed into the box and flicked by Marcel Azaimale ’20. Tynan Creagh ’22 put Deerfield in the lead 10 minutes into the second by pressing the defense and finishing in front of the goal. In the 70th minute Davis put away his second of the day which was assisted by both Bacon and Aziamale. Zach now leads the team in goals having three in two games. The Deerfield boys’ soccer team remains undefeated having one tie and one win.
