On Wednesday, September 25th, the boys junior B soccer team hosted the Eaglebrook School on the lower fields for a 3:15 kickoff. The sky was clear and the sun was shining bright – a lovely day for a soccer game. The first half did not see any scoring, thanks in large part to strong goaltending by Jack Chorske ’22; DA threatened Eaglebrook’s goal with two crossbars.
In the second half, Tripp Didden ’22 scored two goals at the 10th and 15th minutes, bringing the score to 2-0. A late goal by Eaglebrook suggested a comeback was in store, but the DA defense held off Eaglebrook for a 2-1 win. The boys junior B team is off to a good start this season, 1-0, and looks forward to its first away match at Suffield Academy on Saturday, September 28th.
