Deerfield came out firing against Loomis Chaffee and climbed to an early 5-1 lead. After a time-out, Loomis fought back steadily and decreased the goal differential to two. In the 2nd half, Deerfield claimed a shut-out and tallied an additional 5 goals. The Big Green played hungry throughout the full 50 minutes contest. All three units – defense, offense, and midfielders – made great plays that contributed to the day’s outcome. To the great applause of their teammates, the Captains named Taylor Coan as the Play Tough player of the game. Taylor had an impressive performance as part of our steadfast defensive effort, and she played an integral role in many forced turnovers. Through hard work and a great attitude, Taylor has attained extensive growth over the course of the season.
