Deerfield traveled to Hotchkiss on Saturday to take on the Bearcats. On a muddy field, play was slow and Deerfield had a hard time winning the draw against some skilled Bearcat opponents. Dropped passes led to difficulty starting an attack and resulted in the Big Green’s lowest score of the season (6 goals). Shoutouts go to Lourdes Klem ’22 for her many saves that kept Hotchkiss’s score low as well, and to our seniors Emily Stonestreet, Bella Geraci, Olivia Geraci, Emily Henderson, and Caroline Carpenter for their leadership in keeping the pressure on throughout the game. Deerfield will return to their home field for the rest of the season, taking on Bement on Tuesday.
