After rains canceled the previous JV boys’ junior varsity tennis match with Andover, the sun and warm weather returned. The team (4-0) hopped in the Deerfield van and traveled north on Route 5/10 to face Northfield Mount Hermon. Big Green stayed perfect on the season with another 6-1 win.
Deerfield won the doubles point by taking 2 of the 3 sets. A few players were out with injuries, so the doubles pairs were shuffled. The Doors had a rare loss at the #1 spot, but they were picked up by #2 and #3. In singles matches, Deerfield continued its strong play, earning five of six points. Matches were won at #1, #2, #3, #4 and #6.
The next game is Wednesday, May 1 at home vs. Westminster Academy.
