Softball hosted our friends from down the road at Stoneleigh Burnham on a beautiful day to play softball. The Deerfield girls jumped out to an impressive lead in the first inning tallying up 7 runs. Stoneleigh was plagued throughout the game by pitching challenges, and the Big Green were challenged to be patient and selective with their swings. We continued to succeed on this with some well-timed big hits and strong base-running. After a truly full-team effort, we came out on top 17-1.
