Girls’ Rowing kicked off their racing season this Saturday at Quasset Lake in Woodstock, CT. G1 finished 1st with a 2.1 second lead over Groton. G2 ended up 3rd by less than 2 seconds after a solid battle with Taft all the way down the course. G3 took second behind Groton with an impressive 12 second lead over Taft. G4, an entirely novice crew, finished 3rd over Dexter Southfield and Pomfret.

Because the Connecticut River has been on the verge of flood stage in the recent weeks, the girls have had very limited time to get out on the water in their race lineups. Their ability to adapt and preform under these conditions speaks to their adversity and will serve them well throughout the rest of the season. Go Big Green!
