With scattered clouds and some cows in the background, the boys took on the Varsity B team from Avon Old Farms. We took a quarter to warm up, but with a few clutch saves from Will Savage ’20 and a dominant face off performance by Luke Terry ’20, things started clicking. The attack and middies rode extremely well all game and Derek Zhang made hustle plays all over the field. The offense began to come together today as Justin Prete ’20 seemed to find his niche on the lefty wing and Sawyers found his shooting stroke from outside. This went along with a goal on the crease by Drew Wierzbicki ’21 to finish the scoring at 6. But, the thing that stood out most today was the energy and positivity that emanated from the sideline. All game long, the bench offered encouragement and support, which was awesome to see.
