The Deerfield boys JV lacrosse team traveled to Andover, MA on a chilly Saturday in April and came away victorious with a 13-0 shutout over the Big Blue. In a game which saw the entire Deerfield squad take the field, the Big Green dominated the game at both ends. Leading the team with 2 goals each were Robert Sawyers and Kyle Patton, single tallies were made by Justin Prete, Eamon Doheny, Kyle Jarosz, Noah de la Durantaye, Wyatt Browne, Frederick Boulton, Max Wuchenich, Charles Braff and Ollie Pink. Scooping up every ground ball that came within their vicinity were defensemen Matt Fierro, John O’Loughlin, Pat McKee, Jack Lund, Garret DeMallie, Elliott Flagg and Francis Gannon. Luke Terry continued with another strong performance at the “x” on face-offs for DA and ninth grader Bryce Pang stopped every shot that Andover took on the Deerfield goal. Duwon Lee, Hugo Nutting, Quinn Hampson, Chase Cherewatti, Robert Amundson and Cooper Pertchik all contributed to the victory with their hustle and determination during their time on the field. Next up on Wedsnesday, the team travels to Canaan, NH to avenge a early season loss to Cardigan Mountain School.
