Deerfield headed down to Easthampton, MA for a rare Thursday game at Williston. DA got on the board early, with Juliet Perry and Meredith Heaney scoring goals on the first shift of the game. However, the Wildcats pushed back, and within a few minutes the score was tied 2-2. Every time the Big Green would widen the lead, Williston fought back with goals of their own. Ultimately a 3rd period snipe from Meredith Heaney was the difference, as DA came away with a fiercely-earned 6-5 victory. Meredith finished with two goals, as did Maddie Boger. Juliet added two assists, and Kami Meier made a huge difference with two assists and a beautiful goal over the goalie’s shoulder. Hunter Keller and Gabby Hu made many big stops to nail down the win. JV Puck returns to the Class of 1993 Rink for a home game vs. rival Choate on Saturday.
