Deerfield’s thirds girls team played a glorious game of soccer against Westminster on Saturday, ultimately winning 4-0. The sun was blazing, and the Big Green had an unprecedented number of fans lining the field—families and fellow students alike! Valentina Williamson kicked off the first half with an excellent goal early on in the game, followed by a goal from Marnie Todd not long after. Deerfield went into the second half with determination to advance their lead and make their fans proud. In the second half, Williamson scored her second goal of the day, and in the last few minutes of play, Grace Honos scored Deerfield’s fourth and final goal. Our defense did a characteristically stellar job of thwarting the opponent’s offense, and Jenelvis Rodriguez filled in for the keeper position with aplomb, letting nothing past her in net.
