Deerfield traveled to Worcester to play Worcester Academy on Wednesday afternoon. While our plays were not always executed as planned, the team worked together to find the win. While they dominated much of the first half, it wasn’t until two seconds before the buzzer sounded that Deerfield was able to capitalize inside WA’s circle. (Raegan Hickey ’20 from Sydney Cresta ’20). Half-time served as chance to gather, re-organize, and make some adjustments. The girls returned to the field ready to play their game. Five minutes into the second half Cresta ’20 shot and scored. The tally increased to 3-0 (Hickey ’20 from Hannah Roche ’21) later in the half. Liv Mikesell ’20 made a great save in goal for a shut-out on the day. Next, Deerfield plays Andover on Sunday on our home turf.
