It was an exciting day of field hockey in Concord, NH on Saturday. The girls traveled north hoping to avenge their narrow loss from last year. They played with skill and passed well as a unit, and were able to find the back of the cage three times during the 60 minute game. Two goals were scored within a minute of one another during the last moments of the first half. Reagan Hickey ’20 scored first, followed by Sydney Cresta ’20. Cresta scored again only a minute into the second half to bring the game’s score tally to 3-0. The St. Paul’s team has some speed in their offense and some big hitters in their defense, and they challenged our midfield and defense during the second half. However, Deerfield remained on top and Captain Liv Mikesell ’20 earned a shut-out on the day. Next, Deerfield plays KUA at home on Wednesday.
