Deerfield headed down to the International Skating Center of Connecticut for a rematch with Westminster School. The Martlets hopped on DA early, taking advantage of DA missing some key players, and others being less than 100% due to illness. The Green generated more scoring chances as the game progressed, but the Westminster goaltender made numerous excellent saves to keep the puck out. The line of Hannah Roche, Meredith Heaney, and Bailey Cheetham was able to control the puck and create dangerous shots all day, and the defensive corps of only three (Kami Meier, Alexa Luther, and Maddy Zavalick) logged a LOT of minutes on the ice. Lily Faucett provided relentless puck pressure, and Gabby Hu allowed no goals in the 3rd period, making some terrific stops. DA will enjoy a well-deserved rest over Long Winter Weekend, and will hit the road next Wednesday at Williston.
