The Girls Thirds Basketball team started 2019 with a decisive win over the Owls from nearby Stoneleigh Burnham. Hot shooting by the Big Green, coupled with aggressive defense, led to a 31-0 Deerfield lead at halftime. The Owls found ways to score during the second half, but were unable to mount a successful comeback run, and the score stood at 41-8 at the final buzzer. The Big Green travel to Simsbury, Connecticut on Wednesday, January 9 for a 3:30 PM tip-off at the Ethel Walker School.
