DA traveled to Lakeville, CT this past Saturday ready to get a big win against the Lady Bearcats. DA was the first to score, jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead only two minutes into the game. Both teams played strong defense, but DA played aggressive offense, forcing Hotchkiss into foul trouble early in the first half. Whitney Vogt (’20), Alexia Baker (’19), and Michelle Zimmerman (’21) connected on 4 of 8 shots from the stripe. DA played team basketball! Seven players scored in the first half, Alexia Baker (’19) and Jada Howard (’19) led the team in assists, and Samara Cummings (’20) and Sami Dulam (’21) contributed strong rebounding. DA went into half time with a 10-point lead. Hotchkiss put the pressure on DA in the second half. Their full-court pressure was frustrating and forced DA to turn over the ball.
