On January 19th, the boys 3rds basketball team hosted the Eagle Hill School in the Barn after winning on the road in Hardwick earlier in the season. After the Pioneers kept it close in the 1st half, Deerfield played much better in the 2nd half and turned a 3-point lead into an 18-point final margin. With the 38-20 win, the team moves to 5-2 on the season. Once again, Dylan Bane ’20 led the team in scoring, putting in 10 of his total 14 points in the 1st half. Deerfield held Eagle Hill to less than 25% shooting from the field with a great defensive effort. The boys 3rds team will be back in action on January 22nd for the road leg of a home-and-home series against Loomis. Tip off will be at 3 pm.
