The varsity volleyball team traveled down to Connecticut yesterday to participate in a playday generously hosted by Loomis. With the opportunity to play four unscored matches against other schools, the Deerfield squad tried new line-ups and arrangements on their way to building their game experience and preparing for the season ahead. Everyone showed great hustle and flexibility in trying new positions, our servers were excellent in putting the opposing teams on defense right away, and our hitters had a number of solid kills from the net.
The team looks forward to opening its regular season on Saturday with matches against Milton and Miss Porter’s School, hosted by Milton.
