On a beautiful fall Wednesday, the girls varsity soccer team continued their road stint of games traveling to Simsbury, CT to kick-off against the Westminster Martlets. The Big Green got on the board early in the first half when Annie Kane ‘20 redirected a cross from Angie Rey ‘20 into the back of the net. The Big Green continued pressing and Bailey Cheetham ‘19 put away the second goal of the game. Before the end of the first half Angie Rey and Jaxon Palmer ‘21 both had great chances that they nearly missed the framework of the goal. Leanna Dalessio ‘19 scored the third and final goal of the game on a shot from the top of the 18 yard box. The Big Green back line and goalkeepers earned their first shut out of the season. A great team win with contributions from every team member!

The team will return to action for its first home game of the season against Pomfret on Saturday, September 29.
