In their first home game of the season, the DA Girls Reserves hosted the Frontier Redhawks. Slow to get started, the DA defense broke down early in the game as the Redhawks flew down the field to score a quick breakaway goal. After an errant clear ended up on the foot of an unmarked Redhawk attacker in the DA box, Frontier led the game 2-0 at the half. Inspired by a large number of fans, DA rallied in the second half with more cohesive defensive action from the backline of Maddie Poole, Julia Hioe, Ella Foulkes, Aneesha Mishra and Lila Nottage and with some threatening shots on goal from strikers Jasmine DeCossard and Grace Honos and from center midfielder Anne Ott. But the Frontier goalie didn’t let a single ball into the net, and Frontier came away with a 3-0 win.
