Senior Matthew Wuyan continued his winning streak, bringing his dual match singles record to 8-1 while clinching his second match in a row, and Arthur Yao was again flawless in singles as Deerfield swept Williston 7-0 on Monday. Deerfield is now 6-3 on the season, while Williston is 7-2.
Yao extended his winning streak to five matches with his second 6-0, 6-0 victory in three days. Gideon Yektai was nearly perfect at third singles, and Alfi Auersperg caught fire as he took down a talented opponent in Kenny Wang. Cosmo Hunt and Deepak Pathapati rounded out the singles lineup.
Deerfield again played superb doubles to clinch the doubles point, with Yektai and Hunt getting a quick win in the second position. Although Auersperg and Wuyan fell in a tiebreaker at first doubles, Pathapati and Adrian Yao had already secured the doubles point with their victory.
