Cushing Academy had the bases loaded with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning and were able to get a hit to drive in the winning run and beat Deerfield 3-2. The Deerfield bats could not get much going on the afternoon, managing only 3 hits. Mike Bevino was 1 for 3 with a run scored and 2 SB. Jeff MacDonald had the only RBI for Deerfield. David Thomas pitched the complete game, allowing only 3 ER and striking out seven batters.
