Baseball: Varsity loses to Andover (DH)

Event Details

Deerfield dropped the first game of the last doubleheader of the year to 1st place Philips Andover by a score of 3-1.  Griffin McDowell and Jared Pantalony combined to hold Andover to just 7 hits and 2 ER.  The start was the first for McDowell on the year as he is primarily used as a reliever.  Chris Camelio, Mike Bevino and Owen MacPhee each had 2 hits apiece.  Deerfield out hit Andover for the game 8 to 7 but were unable to capitalize on a couple at bats with runner in scoring position.  Deerfield left the bases loaded in the 6th inning after scoring a run on a MacPhee single to CF.
