All nine of Deerfield’s players took the court on Tuesday as the team defeated NMH 5-0 to even its record at 3-3. NMH is now 2-3 on the year.
In their varsity debuts, freshman Achille Sarachek and senior Joni Otto-Bernstein won 8-2 at third doubles. Deerfield clinched the doubles point with an 8-3 win at first doubles and eventually swept the three matches.
Deerfield gave up only thirteen games in abbreviated singles action; Gideon Yektai was flawless in his victory at third singles, while Adrian Yao won the first singles match of career in the sixth position. Deepak Pathapati provided the clinch at fourth singles.
