The Deerfield’s Boys Varsity Swim & Dive Team capped off their dual meet season with an exciting win over Loomis Chaffee on Saturday. Despite a number of illnesses and injuries, the team rose to the challenge of racing in a meter pool against the competitive Loomis Chaffee boys. The victory was truly a team effort with swimmers in each event racing every inch to get to the wall first. The divers, Teddy McCarthy, Osceola Heard, and Julian O’Donnell, earned first, second, and fourth respectively, which advanced the team score substantially. With a final score of 95-91, it was an exhilarating end to the dual meet season. The team now turns their attention to the New England championships on March 3-4.
