After our Wednesday contest was postponed, Girls Varsity Hockey hit the road right after classes on Thursday for a 6pm match up against Westminster. We came out strong in the first period, buzzing around the offensive zone and creating good opportunities. Mary Edmonds ‘19 opened the scoring on an unassisted snipe, and then Ali Dougal ‘18 doubled our lead off of a rebound from a Christina Halloran ‘20 shot. Though we didn’t play especially well in our zone in the second frame, Raegan Hill ‘19 pushed our lead to three by finishing off nice work down low by Dougal and Ellia Chiang ‘21, who both earned assists. We played a more solid third period, and never allowed Westminster to gain momentum down the stretch. Liv Mikesell ‘20 was excellent in goal, and Aurora Devereaux ‘20 had a standout game in defense. Thank you to the Williams family for the pizza, drinks, fruit and cupcakes after the game. Next up is Berkshire on the road on Saturday.
