Deerfield traveled to Suffield for a contest with one of the stronger programs in NEPSAC Class-A. The Big Green jumped out to a 6-point lead on three-pointers from Nick Osarenren and Sam Powell. The contest went back and forth the rest of the way, with Deerfield holding a slim 1-point lead at the half. In the second stanza, the Tigers tried to use full-court pressure and the energy of their home crowd to tip the momentum of the game, but Deerfield answered every challenge with a big rebound, steal or timely bucket. Nick Osarenren scored 20 points, including an exclamation-point dunk at the final buzzer. Jackson Pitcher kicked in 15 points on 6 for 8 shooting, while Colman Shea finished with 8 points, 4 assists and 2 blocked shots. Jackson McCarty brought energy off of the bench, playing crucial minutes down the stretch.
