The boys varsity swimming & diving team started their season in impressive fashion on Saturday with a 96-66 victory over Milton Academy. Despite a demanding week of training after Thanksgiving break, the boys stepped up to the blocks and boards ready to compete. From the 200 Medley Relay onward, the swimmers raced confidently, earning many personal best times, particularly for in-season swims. In their first Deerfield meet, Chris Lee, Vojta Kupka, Ron Finkelberg, and Robert Amundson proved themselves to be valuable additions to the team with strong individual and relay swims. Moreover, Tyler Kelly and Teddy McCarthy established a solid foundation for the diving team this year. The varsity swimming & diving team look forward to our next dual meet against Minnechaug High School at home on December 12th to continue the good work started this weekend.
