On Wednesday, the Girls Varsity Squash Team rode the Mass Pike to take on the Mustangs of Milton. The DA players dominated the first round of play with Harbour Woodward at #2, Devon L’Esperance at #4, Griffin Dewey at #6 and Soo-Min Lee at #8 handily defeating their opponents with 3-0 victories. In the second round, Willow Woodward at #7 had a clear lead before her opponent defaulted after twisting her ankle. Sarah Stonestreet at #5 and Isabella Rolfe at #3 quickly took care of business with decisive 3-0 wins. At #1, Ashley Manning faced Caroline Spahr, last season’s Division 1 New England Champion. After losing the first game, Ashley rallied to win the second before dropping the next two. Still, the team kept its undefeated record intact, beating the Mustangs 6-1.
