The girls thirds basketball team opened their season on their home court today against visiting Northfield Mount Herman. After trading the lead throughout the first half, The Big Green went into halftime with a tenuous one-point lead. While the third quarter remained tight, ending with a three-point lead for Deerfield, the girls dominated the fourth quarter, holding NMH to just two points in the last eight minutes and starting the season with a decisive 34-20 victory. The girls look to repeat on the road this Friday when they travel to Miss Hall’s School for a 6:00 PM tip off.
