Traveling down to Winsor Connecticut to take on the talented Pelicans of Loomis Chaffee, our varsity squad sprinted out to a 7-0 lead before Loomis settled into the flow of the game. Battling hard all the way, Deerfield saw their lead erode, and ended up trailing by 5 at halftime. A string of three-point baskets by Loomis midway through the second half sealed Deerfield’s fate. Jade Tse led the way with 17 points, while Bennett Pitcher scored 14 with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Jackson Pitcher racked up 7 points and 7 rebounds. The squad looks forward to our return engagement with Loomis in the second half of the season.
