Taking the long bus ride to Concord on Wednesday, Deerfield lost 3-0 to St. Paul’s School.

With some team injuries, Deerfield did not play its best volleyball of the season. The team did show drive and determination in fighting for points and was able to pull ahead of St. Paul’s at various points in the match, particularly on the strong serving of Georgia Quesnelle ‘19. Unfortunately, the strong play of St. Paul’s and unfamiliar positions for Deerfield players meant that we were unable to hold the lead.

Kudos to Izzy McDonald ‘20, Aoife Bruce ‘22, and Evan Burkert ‘21 for stepping up with their hitting.

Deerfield ends its regular season on Saturday with a game against its traditional rival, Choate. Game time is 10 am.
