Deerfield played Williston Northampton on their home turf in Easthampton. Williston is a perennially skilled and aggressive team and this year proved to be no different. The two teams had matched up during our first scrimmage of the year in September, and we were excited to test our skills against them again near the conclusion of our season. At just over ten minutes into the first half, Sharon Kereke ’19 snuck the first goal in for Deerfield. Just a few minutes later, Kereke found Juliet Perry’s ’19 stick in the circle and Perry lifted a second goal into the goal boards to increase DA’s goal count. The score remained 2-0 at the half and for much of the second half as well. With less than ten minutes to go in the game, though, Perry found the back of goal once more to increase our score to 3 – 0. Juliet Perry and Maggie Roche ’19 both had exceptional games in our attacking end today.
