Along with many other teams, Deerfield varsity volleyball headed up to Exeter on Saturday. Unfortunately, volleyball fell by a score of 1-3.

Exeter played intelligent volleyball with strong serves, hard hits, good ball placement, and well-positioned defenders. There were a number of momentum shifts throughout the afternoon, with both teams at various times putting together multi-point service runs but in the end, Exeter put together more of the runs to take the match.

Deerfield hosts Amherst Regional High School in a non-league match on Wednesday; game time is 5 pm.
